  1. QC issue 4 Star Review

Posted by on Nov 5th 2015

If i hadn't had to pull my bovis apart to fix an issue where one of the legs had been pegged on at the knee backwards my set would have been flawless and more than perfect :(

in saying that it's all fixed now (PSE was completely prepared to mail me out the pieces I needed to fix it had I not been able to do it myself even though I live in Australia and had it proxy picked up . Which gives them at least an 11/10 in my books)

Nero Rex looks amazing in hand you can't go wrong if black repaints are your thing

  2. Hail to the KING! 5 Star Review

Posted by on Nov 4th 2015

So to begin, this was my very first experience with PlanetSteelExpress, and to be honest I was a little nervous as I was not sure what to expect, but they offered an outstanding deal on Nero Rex, and I did NOT want to miss out like I did during the Singapore Exclusive Nero Rex. Luckily the convention was in my state here in North Carolina, USA, and I snatched this baby up REAL QUICK.

Now, let me begin by saying that before Nero Rex, I had wanted to get a Feral Rex for quite some time, but the repaint aesthetic just appealed to me so much more as the more unified look was absolutely gorgeous. From previous experience messing with the original Feral Rex vs Nero Rex, I can advise with great confidence that there have been several updates in tolerance, where joints have been tightened, the sliding joints in Leo Dux's legs for instance are much more secure and less likely to collapse on their own, the ball jointed feet are very tight, but not so tight that the plastic is being stressed and screeching, it is just perfect, talons wings do not sag or fall under their own weight now and hold any and all poses they are put into, the combiner shoulder ratchets have the strength to hold up the massive combined sword out in front of the figure without it toppling over!! (Words do not express how impressed I was to see this figure pull that off as with other combiners like Warbotron Bruticus struggled with their massive weapons being held in front of them and still staying stood up, at least in my experience) I could seriously go on in to great detail where this figure compares and comes out on top of it's predecessor, Feral Rex, and even it's competition/peers such as Warbotron and Unique Toys, however to keep this review from being overly lengthy, you can check out some video reviews on youtube of the majesty that is Nero Rex.

Aside from my overall ecstatic joy for purchasing this combiner and how impressed I am with it, it has given me even more insight, respect, and appreciation for how amazing MMC really is in comparison to other companies I have purchased products from and to be honest, I will continue to buy just about all of MMC's coming up releases, as they have a proven track record that has YET TO FAIL. It is incredible how detail oriented MMC is with their projects, and I am most definitely a fan of those miniscule details MMC is so well known for. Nero Rex is no exception where the paint applications are all sharp as a tack, just immaculately executed on all the team members, and in combine mode it all formulates together to really shine as one of my main center pieces in my collection.

And finally, in regards to my experience that just puts PlanetSteelExpress at the top of my list, when I finally put in batteries for my Nero's visor to light up I noticed a large airbubble in the plastic of the visor. This was upsetting as it was not noticeable at first with no light shining, but when the light was on there was a large black spot in the visor that just threw off the look and almost ruined the gimmick and overall feel of the figure for me as the head and face is, for myself, one of the most important elements to a collectable figure. I contacted PlanetSteelExpress regarding this matter and within hours, literally hours, not a couple days, not the following week, it was a weekend, on Sunday, and within 2-3 hours they immediately responded to me asking for my address and stating that they would replace the visor for me. I never, in my entire life, have ever experienced such a quick response and excellent care for customer service, EVER. I feel as if PSX went above and beyond, and just yesterday received my replacement visor as promised by PSX. I look forward to any and all future dealings with this company and MMC's products as well!
